Many of the children we treat face a range of challenges, including mental health conditions, emotional disturbances and behavioral issues. At University Health Behavioral Health, we combine medication and individual and family psychotherapy sessions tailored to the specific needs of each patient’s case. We follow patients, sometimes over the course of several years, to help ensure positive outcomes.
Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) is an evidence-based, multidisciplinary team approach for treating individuals experiencing a first episode of psychosis (FEP). Key components include psychotherapy (e.g., CBT), medication management, family support, case management, and supported employment/education. It is a proactive, recovery-oriented model aimed at improving long-term outcomes and reducing the duration of untreated psychosis.
