The Spring Training Institute is an annual event organized by the Missouri Department of Mental Health. Attendees included representatives from the departments of corrections, youth services, and family services as well as private practitioners. Topics included a wide variety of new advances in behavioral health and services available for Missouri residents. Psychosis-specific topics included the difference between clinical high risk and first episode psychosis, the difference between psychosis and other behavioral health conditions, the geographic profile of schizophrenia spectrum disorders in Missouri, and the significance of early identification and treatment for psychosis.
